ZONA Technology, Inc. (ZONA) is a privately held company and was founded in 1985 to serve the aerospace community with commercialized software. The company’s initial business focused on Aeroelasticity. Both founders had excellent industry contacts and customer relations through their prior industrial experience. The commercialized software ZONA51, a supersonic aeroelasticity tool is a unique product that was in high demand by the industry. Subsequently in 1990, ZONA and MSC.Software Corporation began to co-market this software through the framework of MSC.Nastran. Since then, ZONA has carried out extensive research and development (R&D) extending into other related areas for software development. ZONA also performs engineering and Computational Aided Engineering (CAE) services for the aerospace industry. Because of its recent intensive involvement with CAE applications and new findings through contractual R&D in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), ZONA has decided to expand its software development in CFD with a view to develop a new line of CFD products superior to those currently on the market.
ZONA Technology develops, markets, supports and licenses engineering software in the fields of computational aerodynamics and aeroelasticity, aeroservoelasticity, multidisciplinary optimization and computational fluid dynamics for the aerospace industry, in addition to providing R&D engineering and CAE services. Our products and services enable engineering design and analysis and conceptual/preliminary vehicle designs with the intent to diversify our software products into a wider market including, but not limited to aerospace.
ZONA's current expertise lies in the areas of unsteady aerodynamics, aeroelasticity, aeroservoelasticity, aerothermodynamics, aerothermoelasticity, aerospace structures, flutter analysis, structural dynamics and multidisciplinary design optimization (MDO) – now extending to CFD.

ZONA Technology has a full-time staff that includes Ph.D’s, M.S. and B.S. degrees. Our technical team has well over 100 years of combined industry experience in disciplines ranging from unsteady aerodynamics, aeroelasticity, aeroservoelasticity, control, structures, finite element analysis, heat transfer, boundary element methods, and computational fluid dynamics.
